The 2009 Busan International Film Commission & Industry Showcase, BIFCOM2009 has ended on September 14th at 4 pm after 3 days of providing worldwide shooting locations, film and video equipment and examples of state of the art film R&D technology. A total of 15 member countries and 56 organizations and companies participated in the event.
North Scandinavia, Japan Film Commission and the Eastern Shore Network has participated for the first time, and countries such as Jordan, China, Taiwan, Thailand, New Zealand, Philippines, Cambodia informed filmmakers of the possibilities of location services.
The theme for the industry performance of this year ¡®The Status of Research and Development of Film Technology¡¯ received as much attention and faith as ¡®3D Film Technology¡¯ of 2007, ¡®Film Restoration¡¯ of 2008. Especially the 3D screen technology of from the Korean company, EON Digital Films, and the restoration technology of HFR that was shown by the film , even casual participants were interested in the technology involved.
This year¡¯s official BIFCOM meeting included 72 official meetings and 400 non-official meetings. BIFCOM will provide excellent booth exhibition and informative industry performance along with new changes, in the year 2010.
